MY NAME IS MARGARET
I am Maureen’s younger sister and by no means am I boasting about that because I don’t feel like I look younger than her. I am 54 years old and unlike my sister I was always a sun worshiper. I could have been the Coppertone Kid. In high school I discovered sun lamps, oh my gosh what I did to my face and if the natural sun wasn’t enough the tanning salons came onto the scene. I have two grown sons now, but over the span of their lives my husband (their coach from tee-ball through high school) and I spent six to seven days a week, six month’s out of the year on baseball and football fields. Of course, I was always the one keeping score in the sun squinting my eyes with not a drop of sunscreen on.
I have worked hard all my life and love to have fun with my family and friends. I feel young but then I get a glimpse of myself in the mirror and see all the wrinkles around my eyes, my “fat pad” under my chin and reality sets in.
I had seen commercials about the Lifestyle Lift but dismissed the idea figuring it would be too expensive. When my sister started telling me about a friend of hers having it done and no anesthesia involved we decided to make an appointment and find out more about it.
All of my sisters and I think young, feel young (except for my feet), act young, love to get together and have a great time so if we can help our faces match the way we feel on the inside we’re gonna go for it!
CONSULTATION DAY!!
Today is my consultation day and I am very excited to meet with the staff at the Troy office and learn everything I can about the Lifestyle Lift. From the moment I walked through the doors I felt comfortable, everyone is so nice and the office is beautiful.
My consultants name is Diane and was a pleasure to get to know. She was very informative and knowledgeable regarding the lift and answered and addressed all my questions and concerns and by no means did I ever feel pressured into making a decision. But I did make a decision and I will meet with Dr. Khoury on October 3, 2007.

I met with Dr. Khoury, and you know what they say about first impressions, well my first impression of Dr. Khoury is TERRIFIC!!!! Try to relate... He’s the pediatrician you entrust your child’s care to. He’s the cardiologist you have faith in to repair your spouse’s heart. He’s “THE MAN” you allow to display his skillful talent on your face! He made me feel so at ease and comfortable and assured that he was going to give me the best results he could. He is truly a very genuine and nice man. We decided not to have the regular Lifestyle Lift procedure, but instead he will correct my eyes and chin.
Dr. Khoury went step by step through the procedure with me explaining everything I could expect before, during and after. I had decided that I didn’t have an excess amount of loose skin on my face so I just wanted my under eye area tweaked a little for the wrinkles and lipo under my chin. Dr. Khoury had no problem with that and did not try to pressure me into getting more things done than I wanted and I appreciated that. After he made sure I had no further questions I set up an appointment for my procedure.
November 26, 2007 THE BIG DAY - I AM NOT NERVOUS
Today is my procedure day and my fourth visit to the office - the third being the day I drove my sister Maureen to have her Lifestyle Lift. I am not nervous at all because I have seen Dr. Khoury’s work first. My sister looks great. Jennifer calls me back into the office to be prepped and as soon as I sit down I become anxious, however Dr. Khoury senses that and puts me at complete ease. Before you know it I am done and on my way home and I am in no pain. My husband runs out to the car and asks can you walk okay? Are you alright? Hmmm?? Maybe I’ll milk this a little.
November 27, 2007 FIRST DAY AFTER
My face is a bit puffy and a little slight bruising is starting but absolutely no pain. Spent day icing and resting.
November 28, 2007 SECOND DAY AFTER
Deeper bruising under chin only. Discontinued pain medication because I don’t need it. I have been in no pain at all. Iced and rested.
November 29, 2007 THIRD DAY AFTER
Bruising has already begun to fade a lot and am feeling fine.
ONE WEEK AFTER
Today I go to get my suturers removed so I called in advance to see if my other sister Kathy could come with me and have a consultation while I am getting taken care of. Of course they say. We walk into the office and once again welcomed so warmly that I now know how NORM felt every time he walked into “CHEERS”. My sutures are removed and you can barely see my incisions. Dr. Khoury says everything looks great and I agree. He then meets with my sister and she schedules her Lifestyle Lift that day. The trickle down affect has begun!! I am to return in six weeks.
December 6, 2007 10 DAYS AFTER
My husband and I are sitting across from each other at dinner and he says your eyes look really good, your wrinkles are gone. Now mind you my husband is biased and I sill have crow’s feet but they seem to have diminished some too. HOORAY!!! I am so pleased with the work Dr. Khoury has done.
